Theoretical frameworks and Statistics education research

Organiser

Abstract

In recent years research in statistics education has reported the development and/or use of a number of theoretical frameworks. These frameworks are based on students’ learning, teaching, or on statistics itself. In this session researchers who are using these frameworks or who are developing ideas based on these or new frameworks will present their work. Discussion following the presentations will enable participants to consider the various frameworks in relation to each other and to consider future directions for research in this area.
