Fee Entitlements

The Registration Fee covers a delegate bag, attendance at sessions, abstract book, programme book, CDROM of proceedings, coffee breaks, Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner.

Lunches are not included in the fees. However, it will be possible to buy lunch tickets in advance for those wishing to have the lunch at Othon Convention Centre.

Accompanying people who wish to participate in the Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner can buy tickets (at US$15 and US$40 respectively). Local tours will be arranged for accompanying people.

Refund/Cancellation Policies

60% of registration will be refunded for cancellations made before 31/05/06. After this date there will be no refunds.

Payment

Payment must be made by credit card using either the on-line system or by fax. VISA, MASTERCARD and DINERS CLUB credit cards are accepted. (The FAX option can be chosen when selecting the type of credit card: you can chose between Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club and FAX.)

WARNING FOR MAC USERS: The Visa transaction may be incompatible with Safari: if you are using a Mac, you may need to use another browser, or perhaps switch to a PC for registration.

Confirmation

Bookings for the conference will be confirmed by fax or e-mail within seven days of receipt.

Varied accommodation has been block booked at reduced rates for ICOTS-7 participants (see table of prices below). One of the options is Othon, the conference venue, where most people are likely to stay (see facilities at http://www.othon.com.br/). Rooms are subject to availability and will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served-basis. Breakfast and tax are included in the room rate.

All hotels are within walking distance of the conference venue at Othon Convention Centre. The Vila Gale is two blocks away from the Othon, the Atlantic Towers is one block away, while Ondina Apart Hotel, Salvador Praia, Bahia Praia and Portobello Ondina are all in the vicinity of the Othon.

You can download details of various full or part-day tours. Tours 1, 2, 3 and 6 are available pre- or post-conference or for accompanying people. Tour 4 is available on the Wednesday afternoon (and on other days), while Tour 5 is available each evening. Bookings are best made when delegates arrive and register.

There are also longer pre- and post-conference tours offered by Eventus Turismo to Brasília, Fortaleza, Foz do Iguaçu, Pantanal, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Maceió and São Paulo. Contact them or your travel agent to find out more details. You can download PDF documents describing the tours.
