Abstract
In recent years, in many countries statistics and data analysis become an essential part of the secondary school curriculum. For this reason, conceptions of a statistics curriculum in secondary schools that promote central statistical ideas and facilitate students’ statistical learning are of an increasing importance. Further, due to the increasing importance of statistics in secondary schools, there is still a need for research in this field focusing on statistics teachers, classroom practices or students’ learning. This session will look on both conceptions of a secondary statistics curriculum, and research into specific aspects of secondary statistics education.
