Abstract

This session will focus on how instructors should prepare for the challenges of teaching statistics under heterogeneous conditions and in various undergraduate settings. In particular:
  • How technology (wiki pages, podcasts, clickers, blogs, course management sites, the internet or any of the latest ways of communicating) can help or complicate the teaching of statistics depending on the class size.
  • How assessment and research can inform in each of these new types of communications technology.
  • How the increasing diversity of student populations creates challenges to the current methods of securing inclusion and equity.
