Active Learning of Statistical Quality Control in Practice with Hope-add-inn

Abstract

The author has developed various kinds of active learning materials creatively for SQC education and quality optimization supported by JMP (multilingual statistical software developed by SAS) to teach engineers and students ranging from beginners to experts ingeniously in order not only to understand statistical methods but also to utilize them actively. This paper illustrates how to achieve this objective by utilizing 3 teaching materials and DOE by appropriate multilevel education according to the level of engineers and students. The virtual practical experience which uses virtual reality system is the subject of future statistical education. It will be introduced at the last of presentation by computer demonstration. QC and SQM are used in this paper, however, these words may be expressed with QM and SQC recently.
