The role of Japanese Inter-organizational Network for Statistics Education (JINSE)

Abstract
Japanese Inter-university Network for Statistical Education (original JINSE) was founded in 2012, based on a support by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). It was a network of eight universities, with collaborated by six academic societies and eight organizations related to statistics, such as Keidanren, Bank of Japan, etc. As the support by MEXT ended in April 2017, JINSE member universities started an extended JINSE to share our experience with more educational institutions in Japan. We will describe the backgrounds of JINSE and discuss our future plan to enhance statistics education in Japan.
