Abstract
This workshop will give a practical overview of Six Sigma, discuss why it is important especially in public services and review its implementation worldwide. It will cover: pros and cons in the public opinion; what to look out for in education, social and health care and general government applications; case studies; practical examples; accreditation issues; action plans and continuing professional development.Agenda:

Participants: People interested in Six Sigma in Public Services, such as Government, Social Services and Education and currently involved as managers, trainers or observers.
Quality Assurance: The workshop is presented under the quality assurance of the ENBIS Academy. A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants.
Leaders:
Ron Kenett, Past President of ENBIS and CEO of KPA Ltd., Raanana, Israel. Ron was a special consultant to SSM health care system, the first health care organization that won the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award in the US and Professor of Operation Management at the State University of New York - Binghamton. His company is conducting Six Sigma projects in Israel.
Shirley Coleman, Technical Director of ISRU, Newcastle University, UK, President of ENBIS 2004-5 has carried out six sigma training in the NHS as well as in manufacturing, process and financial sectors.

To be held in the Cisef Club Room in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana (FELU).
FELU (Kardeljeva pl. 17, 1000 Ljubljana) is 5-10 minutes from the City Centre by taxi or about 20 minutes by city bus (lines 6, 8 or 21). Both rooms are to the right of the main entrance (opposite the FELU Reception). FELU Art Gallery is located in the hall between the two rooms; this is where the refreshments will be served during the breaks. FELU will provide technical assistance to the lecturers.
