Abstract

The mission of the International Statistical Literacy Project (ISLP) is to promote statistical literacy around the world by supporting, creating and participating in relevant activities that encompass both young persons and adults in all phases and contexts of life. To this end, an online repository of international resources and news in Statistical Literacy has been provided in recent years as well as international activities to promote the resources and the individuals and institutions behind them.

This paper will focus on the activities of ISLP for 2010 that may be summarized in three main goals: (i) extending the cooperative network of ISLP to cover more continents and countries, and coordinating country representation and planning; (ii) systematising ISLP activities, including the ISLP website and competition strategies; and (iii) formulating a long-range strategy and examining approaches to its implementation.

We will discuss the new organizational structure of ISLP and some aspects of the ISLP Competition.
