How to publish research in statistics education journals (panel)

Abstract
Research in statistics education provides the evidence on which both methods of teaching statistics and further research activities in statistics education can be based. It is therefore important that such research is published and thus is available to both teachers and researchers. This session will take the form of a panel discussion in which representatives of four statistics education journals will describe the policies of their journals as regards publishing research articles and give advice on how to get research published in these journals.The emphasis of Teaching Statistics is on teaching and the classroom. It is aimed at teachers of students aged up to 19 whereas the electronic journals, the Journal of Statistics Education (JSE), the Statistics Education Research Journal (SERJ), and Technology Innovations in Statistics Education (TISE), are concerned with all levels. JSE disseminates knowledge for the improvement of statistics, SERJ aims to advance research based knowledge that can help to improve the teaching, learning and understanding of statistics and probability, and the new journal TISE reports on studies of the use of technology to improve statistics learning.
