This is a session of Topic 2: Statistics education at the school level

Improving the teaching of statistics at school level
Organizer
- Katie Makar (Australia)
Abstract
In the past two decades, research in the teaching and learning of statistics has argued that greater attention needs to be placed on data handling, investigative approaches, statistical inquiry, informal inference, and authentic contexts in the statistics taught at school. Critical to this change is the need for support for teacher learning in these areas. This session will focus on innovative approaches to working with teachers to improve teaching and learning in statistics at the school level.Papers
