Abstract
Statistical literacy and reasoning required for evidence-based decision making is vital for individuals, organizations, and nations. This session will explore innovative statistics education outreach efforts to engage and enhance the understanding and teaching of statistics around the world. The statistical education efforts detailed include projects focused on conceptual understanding, active learning, real-world data applications, and appropriate technology. Model projects include both examples of statistical education outreach efforts within countries and international collaborative outreach projects. Presentations will include opportunities to get involved and to further expand programs to other countries. In addition to reporting progress and impacts, international statistics education outreach resources will be shared.
