Statistics teaching in the Asian context

Abstract
Teaching statistics in Asia is done in varied conditions and cultural settings which bring both problems and opportunities. The papers in this session will illustrate how statistics is taught in different settings, what problems educators face and how they deal with these problems, what successes and best practices are done. The sharing of experiences of different Asian countries is aimed at showing different ways of teaching statistics with the goal of producing a statistically literate society. These experiences will include teaching statistics from primary to tertiary levels, collaborations among different institutions in enhancing statistics education, use of technology in improving the learning process, dealing with problems usually faced in the teaching of statistics particularly in the Asian context.Papers
