Teaching a Second Course in Statistics on Multi-variable Thinking

This workshop is intended for teachers of introductory statistics at tertiary level. The workshop provides classroom activities for introducing students to core concepts and methods associated with multivariable thinking for students who have completed an introductory course. The unifying theme of these concepts and activities is explaining variation. We will discuss activities using real data, making use of simulation-based inference and using freely available applets developed specifically for this curriculum. Implementation and assessment will be discussed.
