Innovative projects for statistical education

Abstract

This session will discuss different projects that seek to promote and evaluate statistical education in different countries. These programs include the LISA 2020 Program to show how Statistics Education is being improved through the creation of stat labs in Nigeria, a flipped class approach implemented at Central Michigan University (CMU) and Michigan State University (MSU), and the Survey of Motivational Attitudes toward Statistics (SOMAS) project, which is intended to measure instructors' attitudes and classroom characteristic.
