Abstract
This session covers different approaches to improving teaching and learning of basic statistics ideas in a tertiary education courses, including the use of in-class activities to facilitate group discussions, particularly in large classes. Pedagogic practices that improve student satisfaction, performance, attendance, and engagement will be discussed.
