Abstract

Statistics plays an important role in policy formulation, planning and development of any communities therefore, there is a general agreement on the idea that the teaching of statistics should be given a broader scope. The idea that the teaching of statistics should emphasize the understanding of statistical concepts and methods, and also encourage the students to acquire awareness of how important it is to be able to assess the mass of statistical information they come across every day has a similar consensus. This research work attempt to survey different teaching methods adopted by various schools , evaluate their efficiency, compare their efficiency,recommend the best methods for the teaching of statistics.
