Adding value to statistics undergraduate classes through using technology in Maseno University, Kenya

In Maseno University, a lot has been done to improve students' experience through technology. A climax came when the university decided to include IT into all their degree programs. Efforts were quickly made by the School of Mathematics to tailor their IT courses to meet their students' eventual professional needs. This has led them to being introduced advanced Excel, R and R-markdown, CSPro, the island and R-Instat. In addition, tutor-web has been used to help them access learning resources and drills on statistics theory. This paper gives a summary of how the tools were used and how the students responded to them immediately, and after school for some.
