The ICOTS10 logo is composed of three parts:

• The title uses a font that mimics the classical pen strokes of Japanese writing, with the rising sun “0” from the Japanese flag
• The Japanese character of “Kyo” is written with a brush, and means “the Ancient Capital”.
• A reminder of the many mountains that surround Kyoto.
